The Castro Street Fair would not be possible without the participation of some amazing local nonprofit organizations. Our annual beneficiary partners provide much needed volunteers in exchange for a share of the proceeds from donations collected at the Fair.
Here is a list of our 2025 Beneficiary Partners
Buen Dia Family School
A bilingual, arts-based preschool in the Mission District, Buen Dia nurtures 3–5-year-olds with a focus on creativity, culture, and belonging. Fair funds sustain their inclusive classrooms.
Castro Community On Patrol (CCOP)
CCOP helps keep the Castro safe through volunteer patrols and community safety trainings. Funds from the Fair support affordable local training programs that empower neighbors to look out for each other.
Everett Middle School PTSA
Everett PTSA funds field trips, classroom needs, teacher development, sports programs, and community-building events, ensuring every student has opportunities to thrive.
Haight Ashbury Community Nursery School (HACNS)
Since 1974, HACNS has been a cooperative preschool where kids ages 2.5–5 learn through play, art, science, and imagination. Funds help maintain their joyful space and support San Francisco families.
Imperial Council of San Francisco
A historic organization raising funds for Bay Area nonprofits—always with style, spirit, and fun. Fair proceeds help them continue supporting dozens of local charities.
Instituto Familiar de la Raza (IFR – Sí a la Vida)
IFR’s Sí a la Vida program uplifts LGBTQ+ Latiné communities with culturally responsive mental health care, HIV prevention, youth programs, and safe spaces to celebrate identity. Fair support helps expand wellness groups, case management, and community-building events.
Maitri Compassionate Care
For nearly 40 years, Maitri has provided compassionate care for people living with HIV/AIDS, chronic illnesses, and those recovering from gender-affirming surgeries. Fair support helps them continue ensuring no one suffers or heals alone.
Most Holy Redeemer AIDS Support Group
This all-volunteer program provides food, rental assistance, and emotional support for San Franciscans living with disabling HIV/AIDS. Fair proceeds directly fuel their food program.
McKinley Elementary School
One of the Castro’s oldest and most diverse elementary schools, McKinley connects kids to their community and celebrates local pride. Fair support funds school programs and activities.
San Francisco CASA (SFCASA)
SFCASA transforms the lives of children in foster care by pairing them with trained volunteer advocates. Fair funds help ensure every child has a caring adult fighting for their future.
San Francisco Pride Band
The nation’s first openly LGBTQ+ marching band, SF Pride Band inspires through music and visibility. Fair support helps them perform, educate, and bring joy across the city.
The Fair is also proud to support the Castro Merchants Association in the purchase and maintenance of the iconic Rainbow Flag at Harvey Milk Plaza.
Donations collected at the entry gates not only help to off-set the cost to produce the Castro Street Fair, but they are also shared with our Beneficiary Partners. The Fair is a fundraising opportunity for these local community non-profits, so please be generous in your support. There are multiple ways for you to donate; including cash, credit card, and PayPal.
Over the years the Fair has given over $1.6 million back to the community!!!
Donate Early. Consider making a donation before you come to the Fair. Our annual budget exceeds $200,000.00 and your early support helps us to better plan our programming and activities for the event.
If your 501c3 organization can provide volunteer power in exchange for a share of the annual proceeds from the Fair, and would like to be considered as a beneficiary in future years, please email info@castrostreetfair.org for more information and eligibility criteria.
